Born and raised in blue-collar Syracuse, NY, I learned the importance of family, faith, and serving others. Early on, I realized I had a knack for concentration, memory, and problem-solving, and I’ve worked hard to make the most of these gifts.
My estate planning origin story? Upon my father's tragic passing when I was 9-years old, my mother had to become Super-Mom overnight. She raised my brother and me without the benefit of a professional estate plan. It wasn’t easy.
Fast forward to undergrad at Cornell, then Harvard Law School, to my "Big Law" days in NYC, where I practiced commercial real estate law, contributing to deals like helping redevelop the World Trade Center. Then came a decade of practicing business law in Atlanta, where I went toe-to-toe with corporate giants and government regulators.
However, I’ve come to learn that I prefer helping to fighting. Estate planning often invokes stress, confusion, and fear. But with the right attorney, one who you trust, a person can achieve peace of mind. The opportunity to provide that peace of mind for families like mine is why I choose to practice estate planning law.
When I’m not advising clients and their families, you’ll find me with my beautiful wife Kelly and our Yorkies, Biscuit and Nugget (who, despite their names, are not actually edible). I pursue indie filmmaking as a passionate side project, I devour novels like they’re going out of style, and I attempt to stay fit through hot yoga (like regular yoga, but sweatier).
